Top 10 TV Shows (of the 2000s) | 3 | HOUSE, M.D.
House: Treating illnesses is why we became doctors. Treating patients is what makes most doctors miserable.
House is a caustic, misanthropic, drug-addicted (yet charismatic!) doc who is amazing at diagnosing the cases that other doctors can’t. Every episode is like a puzzle-can House, his team, and we, the viewers, solve this puzzle? Yet House, M.D. is more than just a medical procedural; it’s about the characters, and about House’s constant push-pull relationship with everyone in his life. For every step forward House takes, he then takes two steps back. Watching his evolution (and devolution), with all his witty wisdom thrown in, in his relationships with his love Cuddy, his best friend Wilson, and his ducklings, is my Vicodin; it’s addicting.
